EcoReef®, in collaboration with Fulton Hogan, is proud to be named a finalist in the 2025 Civil Contractors New Zealand (CCNZ) Hirepool Construction Excellence Awards in the category Projects Under $2 Million.

The nomination recognises the Fulton Hogan – Masterton District Council post-cyclone road repairs project, where EcoReef® technology played a key role in delivering resilient infrastructure solutions.

The awards celebrate outstanding achievements in civil construction across Aotearoa, showcasing projects that have made a meaningful impact on communities—ranging from roads and water systems to wharves, airport runways, and more. This year, 37 finalists were selected from 63 entries, each demonstrating excellence in innovation, execution, and community benefit.

CCNZ Chief Executive Alan Pollard congratulated all finalists, noting the importance of their contributions to New Zealand’s infrastructure: “Their efforts have made a huge difference, ensuring transport networks, ports and airports are open for business, properties are protected, assets are maintained, and communities have access to power and clean water.”

Expert judges assess each nominated project through site visits and detailed documentation, ensuring a thorough evaluation of performance, innovation, and impact.

EcoReef® is honoured to be part of a project that reflects the values of sustainable, resilient, and community-focused engineering. We extend our congratulations to all finalists and look forward to celebrating the best of New Zealand’s civil construction industry.
